Hello October

Journal Entry: Fri Oct 2, 2009, 3:43 PM

Wow. Another year gone by.... I'll be hitting an age milestone at the end of the month here.

Any advice for the new adult?

Most of my friends are all off at far-away colleges (or in their bedrooms swamped with community college homework), while I'm sitting here without college for a semester.

At the beginning I figured, "Heh, it'll be a walk in the park. We'll just all call each other on Saturday's and--", but my lovely little picture burned up a while ago. But Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks will come eventually, right?

I've taken to writing letters to one of them. Mass amounts... and then sticking them in envelopes when I have four or five to send.

The puppies are into chewing. They got one black heel right before I had to go to a professional dinner, so I grabbed a pair of heels real quick before... and last night they chewed those as well. I don't normally leave shoes out where they can get at them, but I guess I just forgot last night.

They also ripped my mom's purse around the house twice, chewed the computer mouse... it goes on.
Anyone have a remedy for chewing?

In more positive news, I may become the next event photographer for the state funeral director's association, which would mean publication... neat, right? :D

Tonight is opening night at the theater.

Scout is inside now.. What a sweetie.
He's not as smart as Dozer, but he's intelligent enough. The boy is going to be huge...

Those paws!

He's my love. :cuddle:

The little girl is growing up... (TMI)

We have three dogs, an adult and two...... six month olds? I don't really remember how old they are and don't particularly want to stop and figure it out. :giggle:

Today we had to go and get those little diapers for the little girl because yesterday was a *very special day*.
All right, not really... She likely doesn't care, but *I* would care if I suddenly found drips here and there all over my carpet.
Unfortunately, we miscalculated her weight (maybe she's just big-boned?) and bought a size too small...
So she looks like a monkey in a diaper. Almost.

My sweet little girl.. she wasn't particularly pleased when we put it on her, but she's lazing about like always so I guess she's used to it.

Going to get her fixed.

abnormal work hours and college...

I wasn't able to get into the class I wanted to (English), and today at lunch my dad asked me what I was doing about classes, and I said that I was just going to register early for classes for next semester. "Well, why don't you take an American History class? You have to have it anyway."
Classes have been going a week, so it's not like I'd be that far behind, but I have some "maybe" (read: still in the I-wish stage) travel plans this December, which would have to get shoved towards Christmas if I took a class. I suppose it *could* work, but I'm not sure that I would feel completely comfortable accepting an offer to stay in someone's home that close to Christmas. It's a family time, in my opinion. On the other hand, I have no idea how the family would feel about it. Maybe it would be a really cool thing.
Who knows!
When I go back out to my car I'll grab the catalog and see what the schedule is like for the history classes. I was thinking about taking a general history 1500s-present, but I don't know what happened with that. Forgot, I guess.
If there's anything that will work for my schedule, I may try and petition in. We'll just see how it goes.

My body is on some other time zone than the one I'm living in. The past week I've been awake anywhere from 3-7am. Mostly attributing that to the crazy hours I've been keeping with work, mostly leaving the house around midnight or two.
Hoping to get some real sleep soon.

Oi. In the middle of getting rid of a lot of things that I don't need or use, so my room looks like a disaster zone with all the piles of things that either need to be returned to people, or given to people, or just thrown out... Maybe I'll work on that this afternoon. I have a couple hours before I have to leave for a function at church.

My Sunday Morning Children's bible class this morning tasted salty Lemonade.
Oh, I love object lessons, ROFL!

Happy news! I'm in the middle of designing a bag! Once it's knit up and felted, I'll be sure to post pictures. It's going to be darling, really.
Dark brown and a pale blue.

What's the word, folks?
