She kissed her daddy goodbye, and left home to serve her country.

Please check out [link], and remember that the courageous men and women are serving overseas to keep YOU safe.
Help support them.

All right, guys. My name isn't Julius Caesar, and I didn't ask what your thoughts were on the war going on in the Middle East.

Suggester says: "Tribute For A Fallen Warrior by ~thingsarelookingup is more than just a powerful work of art to look at and appreciate it; it's the truth of a much harsher reality. There are men and women over-seas who are getting killed and tortured, while most of us are having a quiet, laid-back evening. The composition to this perfectly fits with the meaning behind this, as does the black and white tones." (Suggested by =perception-obscure and Featured by ^estudio)

I like how the white in the picture really stands out. This is an excellent point of view.

Thank you so much!

This image just hits you like a ton of bricks, in that the message behind this conveys the cold, harsh reality of what is taking place right this very moment. We are sitting back, browsing dA, laughing with our friends, spending time with loved ones while men and women, overseas, are fighting to keep our freedom to do exactly that. Thanks so much for sharing this with the world here on dA.

Thank you. That's exactly what I was wanting to convey... I'm thrilled that you got it, and didn't see it as just another picture.

These guys put on the spit-and-polish for Teddy.. it was really touching.

I'm glad I saw it the way you intended for the viewer to interpret this. And yes, that is very touching that they did that for him

This is a beautiful shot full of emotion. Even if you don't agree with the reason our troops are overseas, it's important to support them. My husband is in the military and I am very proud of him. Fantastic shot.
